Revver is in some ways a feel good story and in other ways a Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

The did a great job shaping themselves into a friend of the content creator, but they had huge mis-steps that could draw comparisons to Brian Bosworth’s acting career (or haircut for that matter).  As soon as they pushed to support Quicktime for their video ads (and the whole market went to Flash anyway) and then tried to stick ad calls into their videos to be uploaded to other sites (which got stripped out by those sites anyway), Revver was seriously f’d.

Let’s just say that I’m really happy they did end up getting acquired by LiveUniverse.  Let’s hope LiveUniverse isn’t going to go down the tubes (I mean they have been fighting to try to buy Stage6 for chrissakes).
